The University of Mobile’s Jazz Band brings back the iconic tunes of Ol’ Blue Eyes himself. Featuring some of Sinatra’s most notable works such as Almost Like Being in Love, My Way, The Best is Yet to Come, and The Way You Look Tonight. Directed by Mr. Kenn Hughes.
Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Gondoliers

The twelfth collaboration between composer Arthur Sullivan and librettist W.S. Gilbert, The Gondoliers tells the story of two charming Venetian gondoliers, Giuseppe and Marco, who are informed that, due to an error of identity when they were young boys, one of them is the heir to the throne of a Barataria. Zany adventures follow! Fun, light-hearted and pure G&S, you will be laughing in the aisles. Directed by Dr. Patrick Jacobs.

Christmas Spectacular is listed as one of the top 25 things to do in Mobile, AL during the Christmas season. Many of the University of Mobile’s 22 performing ensembles are showcased, including the Voices of Mobile, Impact, RamCorps, Sounds of Mobile, and Welsh Revival. The Requiem by Maurice Duruflé, Opus 9, is one of the significant Requiem settings, as powerful and popular as those of Fauré, Mozart, and Brahms. A favorite among singers and audiences, the Duruflé Requiem will move you with its beauty and spiritual significance. Directed by Dr. Al Miller and Dr. Scott Wright.

The Jazz Band is back for their Spring Concert! Director of Instrumental Studies, Mr. Kenn Hughes, has put together an enlightening presentation of Hymns, Spirituals, and Gospel music that’ll make you want to jump up and jive. Familiar tunes include Amazing Grace; Swing Low, Sweet Chariot, When The Saints Go Marching In, and As David Danced.
Saviour: A Modern Oratorio

Saviour is an inspiring narrative of the Christian faith that fuses classical musical styles with contemporary forms. The story, which takes us from creation through resurrection, is a picture of God pursuing His people. This beautiful event features the instrumentalists and vocalists of the University of Mobile’s Center for Performing Arts/Roger Breland School of Music.
UM Musical: The Secret Garden

This enchanting musical by Pulitzer Prize-winner Marsha Norman and Lucy Simon contains some of the most beautiful music written for the stage. When young Mary Lennox loses her parents to a cholera outbreak in India, she is sent to live with her uncle in Britain, Archibald Craven, who lives in a sad prison of regret. Mary’s love begins to change the empty manor house and the discovery of a once beautiful garden, leads the audience to a touching story of love and redemption. Directed by Bruce Earnest
