MOBILE, Ala. – The Alabama School of the Arts Jazz Band at University of Mobile will present “Sacred Swing,” an evening of hymns, spirituals and gospel music, on March 25.
The Jazz Band will perform at 7 p.m. at Ram Hall on the University of Mobile campus, 5735 College Pkwy. Tickets are $10 and are available at itickets.com or at the door.
The entertaining, high-energy spring concert will feature familiar including “Amazing Grace,” “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot,” “When the Saints Go Marching In,” and “As David Danced,” among others.
The Jazz Band is under the direction of Kenn Hughes, associate professor and director of instrumental studies at the Alabama School of the Arts.
