Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics

Applied Mathematics is the discipline of mathematics dealing with applying mathematics to science, technology, and everyday life.  Students earning a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics will complete a curriculum that not only includes topics in applied mathematics (e.g., calculus, statistics, differential equations, linear algebra, numerical methods, and Fourier series and transforms) but also includes topics in physics and computer programming.  The primary focus of this program is to improve students’ mathematical, computational, and modeling skills and to prepare students to further their careers through advanced study.
