Helpdesk Technician Analyst I

Position Summary:
The Helpdesk Technician Analyst I provides Tier 1 technical support for the University of Mobile students, faculty, and staff. This role is responsible for delivering high quality customer service, resolving technical issues related to IT systems, networks, and devices, and supporting the overall reliability of campus technology. The position serves as a key contributor to the University IT Helpdesk and supports academic and administrative operations across campus.
Position Qualifications (Educational credentials, skills and abilities):
• Christian who is an active member of local church.
• Supports Statement of Christian Affirmation (https://umobile.edu/about/mission/)
• Any combination of an Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with IT or networking experience and/or relevant certifications
• Strong customer service and technical troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows OS, macOS, and mobile device support
• Familiarity with networking concepts and connectivity troubleshooting
• Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team-oriented University IT environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to support a diverse academic community
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Standing/Walking for extended periods
• Capable of climbing up to a 12 foot ladder.
