Focus Friday Plan: A Friday in Fairhope and Dinner in North Mobile

Amber Kelley Experience

Some of the best things about attending University of Mobile are the surrounding cities, and easy access to all they have to offer. One of those beautiful cities is Fairhope!

This city is known for the beautiful pier on Mobile Bay and the downtown that is perfect for a stroll, so much that they have appeared in Netflix movies! Even “Southern Living” thinks that Fairhope is something worth falling in love with!

Enjoy this schedule that takes you to all the must-sees in Fairhope and end your day locally, by eating dinner back in the North Mobile area!

11 a.m. – Grab brunch in downtown Fairhope. Enjoy a glass of chocolate milk and an omelet (but that’s just my personal favorite.)

12:30 p.m. – Walk around and window shop! No worries, you don’t have to spend any money, just enjoy the local shops!

1 p.m. – Walk the pier or hang up your Eno at North Beach Park. Bring a blanket, book, Frisbee and football to enjoy the park.

6 p.m. – Grab dinner back in the North Mobile area near campus. Some of the great options include Big White Wings, Meat Boss, Stoney’s BBQ and Bay City Grill!

As you end this Focus Friday, it’s time to plan your next one. Here are a couple other spots that you should not forget about when trying to figure out how to spend your Focus Friday:

  • Langan Park in the Spring Hill area. This is a beautiful park about 20 minutes away from campus in which you can walk around and look at art and enjoy the outdoors!
  • William Brooks Park in Chickasaw. This is a park only 10 minutes away from campus. Grab your friends on go chill on the beautiful pier at sunset!
  • The Gulf in Orange Beach. This is a restaurant with a very trendy outdoor area. Grab your friends and go hang out here on one of their comfy outdoor couches in the sunshine and enjoy a burger and a sweet tea!
