Freshman 2020 Benefits

We know it’s been a difficult time for you and your family. Your senior year of high school didn’t turn out like you planned. But we know your freshman year at the University of Mobile can be so much more than you ever imagined! That’s why we are announcing four new benefits just for first-time freshmen.

Test-Optional Admission, Freshman 2020 Be Known Scholarship, 4-Week Bridge Courses & Expedited Registration Process

• Test-Optional Admission

Unable to take the ACT or SAT this spring? Our new Test-Optional Admission means you can be admitted to college without submitting your test scores, if your GPA is 2.75 or above. You can choose whether to submit test scores as part of your application or select the test-optional choice.

With this choice, the University of Mobile will consider your high school GPA, course load and similar academic indicators that highlight your achievements. You will still be eligible for possible institutional grants and need-based aid offered by the University of Mobile, for those who qualify, as well as state and national education entities.

• Freshman 2020 Be Known Scholarship*

It’s easy to qualify for this new scholarship created just for first-time freshmen.  Simply make your down payment before July 1 for classes starting Fall Semester 2020. Your Freshman 2020 Be Known Scholarship will be awarded in addition to scholarships you would normally receive from the University of Mobile.

*This scholarship is available for applicants who apply and commit between April 1-July 1, 2020.
