Amber Kelley My Why

Graphic Design

My full name means “I am the light of God.” Growing up, my parents raised me to be the best I can be and strive for excellence in everything I do. Keeping this in mind, I try to do everything in the light of God. These things combined are what drive me to be the best I can be. My advisor and professor, Ms. Megan Cary (associate professor of graphic design) is always pushing me further than I think I am capable of going. She encourages me in my talent, pushes me to perform at the top of my ability, and believes in me! She has been intentional in showing me she wants me to be successful and believes that I can be. Another person who has believed in me since the beginning is my track coach, Andy Canegitta. He saw potential in me even when I wasn’t at my prime, and has continuously been confident in me. He has supported me and has faith in me. My track coach allows me to use the talents God has given me out on the track. The belief they have in me gives me continued confidence to live my life as the light of God.
