“Oklahoma!” follows the story of Laurey Williams, a farm girl trying to choose between two rival suitors. The fight for love and the competition that ensues ultimately leads to someone’s demise, turning this fun love story into a tragedy.

Stewart Hawley, chair of theatre in the Alabama School of the Arts and director of “Oklahoma!” says, “The energy and excitement of Oklahoma! is irresistible. You will leave the theater with spirits lifted, believing in the overwhelming power of love, community, and the human spirit. This show is a brilliant example of what American Musical theatre is all about.”

“Oklahoma!” is conducted by Christopher Lovely, assistant professor of music.
