University of Mobile Jazz Band Performs Frank Sinatra hits Oct. 22 at “Ol’ Blue Eyes” Concert

The popular singer’s hit songs will come to life during UM Jazz Band concert

MOBILE, Ala.- University of Mobile Jazz Band brings back the iconic tunes of “Ol’ Blue Eyes” himself, featuring some of Frank Sinatra’s most notable works, during an Oct. 22 concert at Saraland Performing Arts Center.

Among Sinatra’s popular hits that the UM Jazz Band will perform are “Almost Like Being in Love,” “My Way,” “The Best is Yet to Come,” and “The Way You Look Tonight.”

The “Ol’ Blue Eyes” concert is set for Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at Saraland High School, 1115 Industrial Pkwy., Saraland. The concert is part of the 2016-2017 UM Performing Arts Series presented by students and faculty in The Roger Breland School of Music and the School of Worship Leadership.

Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at and at the door.


UM Jazz Band is directed by Kenn Hughes, associate professor and director of instrumental studies.
