University of Mobile Named in ‘America’s 100 Best College Buys’ for 2017

UM is Only Private University in Alabama Selected for Honor

MOBILE, Ala.- University of Mobile has been selected as one of “America’s 100 Best College Buys.” The Christian university in south Alabama is the only private university in the state to earn the “100 Best Buys” title for 2017 from Institutional Research & Evaluation Inc.

UM was selected for the America’s 100 Best College Buys list from among 1,123 colleges and universities in the United States included in the 26th Annual National College Survey. The annual survey was conducted April 1 through July 31, 2016, by Institution Research & Evaluation Inc., a higher education consulting firm.

The institutions chosen for America’s 100 Best College Buys must be accredited, four-year institutions offering bachelor degrees and full residential facilities, including residence halls and dining services. Schools must also have an entering freshman class in the fall of 2015 with a high school grade point average and/or SAT/ACT score equal to or above the national average for entering college freshmen.
