University of Mobile Foundation Formed to Support University, Manage Endowment

MOBILE, Ala. – The University of Mobile Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the University of Mobile Foundation Inc. during its February meeting.

The University of Mobile Foundation will manage the university’s endowment and work to raise additional funds for the university, according to Tonya Gollotte, executive director of the foundation.

“The University of Mobile Foundation is a support organization to benefit the educational and charitable purposes of the university. Its purpose is to support the mission and vision of University of Mobile while identifying and managing resources that will develop the capabilities of University of Mobile students and promote their physical, mental, spiritual and religious development and growth,” Gollotte said.

The Board of Directors will consist of no less than four and no more than 15 persons. Initial terms will be one, two and three years, beginning this January. For information regarding the University of Mobile Foundation, contact Gollotte at 251.442.2917 or tgollotte@umobile.edu.

Rivers is an experienced writer and an alumna of University of Mobile. She graduated in 2015 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication. She returned to University of Mobile professionally as marketing communications specialist in 2017.
