MOBILE, Ala. – University of Mobile alumni and friends of the university met for a tour of campus, a quick message from UM interim president Lonnie Burnett and dinner during the Alabama Baptist State Convention on Nov. 12.
Among the guests were many pastors of local churches and churches all over the state of Alabama.
“Here at the University of Mobile, we love the local churches. We want to be your resource,” says Burnett.
Throughout the night, alumni talked about favorite teachers, memories and meeting lifelong friends during their time as students.
Iris Anderson, class of 1967, the university’s first graduating class, said, “My favorite part about being a student was knowing everyone and everyone knowing me.”
The Alabama Baptist State Convention was held Nov. 12-13 at Eastern Shore Baptist Church in Daphne, Alabama.
