University of Mobile New Doctoral Programs Enrolling Students for Fall Semester

MOBILE, Ala. – University of Mobile is enrolling students now for fall semester and the start of its first two doctoral programs, the Doctor of Nursing Practice and the Doctor of Musical Arts in vocal performance.

The Doctor of Nursing Practice in the College of Health Professions is offered online with several on-campus intensives in the university’s new state-of-the-art Center for Excellence in Healthcare Practice. The center offers patient simulation labs including an operating room and emergency department utilizing high-fidelity patient simulators. Options include the Post-Master’s DNP and the DNP Nurse Practitioner. The degree is designed to prepare nurse leaders with advanced knowledge and skills within the Christian worldview.

The Doctor of Musical Arts in vocal performance in the Alabama School of the Arts prepares students for performance and teaching across multiple styles, including contemporary, musical theatre, opera and more. The program provides students opportunities to develop their performance abilities while expanding their knowledge of music literature and vocal technique.

She returned to University of Mobile professionally as marketing communications specialist in 2017.
