MOBILE, Ala. – University of Mobile welcomes artist Zachary Koch and his “Sadbois” exhibit to the Martin Hall Art Gallery on campus.
The exhibit is on display from Oct. 1-31 weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is free. The University of Mobile will host an artist talk and reception on Oct. 31 at 11 a.m. at the Martin Hall Art Gallery, 5735 College Parkway, Mobile, AL.
Koch uses atmospheric obscurations, ornamental overlays, and skewed geometric or uncertain perspectives as the foundations for his traditional, 2D, 3D and 4D bodies of work.
Koch says, “Within the compositions I make, images and objects merge together in a way that I compare to a flash-back or flash-forward tripe in a television program. It describes a precise moment of transition between two periods of time where scenes overlap and softly fade to the point of being practically indiscernible from each other.”
Koch is an analog and digital artist and an assistant professor of drawing and digital art at Auburn University. He is also an active member of the art community and shows his artwork regionally, nationally and internationally.
