A Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at the University of Mobile allows aspiring writers to develop their writing skills across a variety of forms and mediums and equips them with the skills they will need to write professionally.
Students will write fiction, poetry, and screenplays for film and television while advancing their literary and critical studies. All creative courses are centered around the writing workshop, where students learn to edit creative work and to give and receive critical feedback in a group setting.
There will be regular opportunities for students to interact with working creative professionals who give guest lectures, offer work guidance, and help students develop useful contacts. For the final project, all aspiring writers will complete a substantial creative work in their area of specialization.
