"Ram Ready" is the comprehensive new student orientation program at the University of Mobile, designed to provide incoming students with the essential tools, resources, and support they need to thrive academically, socially, and personally. Through engaging workshops, interactive sessions, and introductions to faculty, staff, and fellow students, Ram Ready ensures that newcomers are equipped with vital information about campus life, academic expectations, and available support services. From navigating campus facilities to understanding academic requirements and fostering a sense of community, Ram Ready sets the stage for a successful and fulfilling college experience at the University of Mobile.
Your non-refundable registration down payment is $250 for students living off campus and $500 for students living on campus.
Use the log-in credentials for UM Self-Service that previously have been emailed to you and make your non-refundable registration down payment.
- Log into UM Self-Service then select “Student Finance” at the bottom of the home page.
- On the next page, select “Payment Center” and provide the requested security information to continue.
- Select the “Deposits” tab. (On a laptop, the “Deposits” tab is located at the top of the screen. On a phone, select the drop-down menu on the right side of the screen to view the “Deposits” option.)
- You will be prompted to make the New Student Deposit for Fall 2024 registration.
If you have not logged to self-service or unsure of what your login credentials the formula for their credentials should be as follows:

Password: First 3 letters of their month (with first letter capitalized)+2digit day+4digit year Example: Dec122006
Advisors will be assigned based off of your area of study. For those attending an in-person registration event, you will meet your academic advisor at the event. For those registering remotely, your assigned academic advisor will contact you directly, typically within 48 hours, to help registering for classes.
Fall students who have paid their deposits will be able to register for courses starting at the end of April. Spring students who have paid their deposits will be able to register for courses at the end of October. They will be assigned an academic advisor who will help them with course selection.
