We are so excited for you to take the next step in your journey by applying for Early Enrollment to the University of Mobile!
Early Enrollment is for any current high school Junior-Senior to apply to take our on-campus or online classes. There are select 100-200 level courses at a highly reduced price of $150 a credit hour.
What is UM Academy?
Get an early start on your college career with freshman courses at the University of Mobile. Why not take advantage of UM Academy for college basics such as English, American history, art appreciation, basic public speaking, microcomputer applications, or math? This program allows students to enroll in select 100 – 200 level college courses at the special price of just $150 per credit hour.
As part of UM Academy, we offer “First Course Free,” a new program to encourage high-school students to set their sights on a college degree and get a head start on their college career.
First Course Free is available for current high school and homeschool juniors and seniors with a GPA of 2.75 or above. Eligible students can take their first University of Mobile 100-level or 200-level course tuition-free. Students are not eligible for the first course free after they have graduated from high school.

Students who are currently enrolled as high school juniors or seniors are eligible to apply for UM Academy.
When does it begin?

What courses are available?
Four courses are specifically designated for Early Enrollment students. These courses are offered online and while course material mirrors that of the traditional college course, the classes are only open to EE students.

SAVE TIME:
Dual Enrollment allows you to take 100- and 200-level courses in a variety of subjects that are often taken in the first year of college.

PREPARE FOR COLLEGE:
You will gain first-hand experience taking college-level courses and meeting the demands and expectations that lead to success.
Who is eligible for dual enrollment?
Eligible Schools:
• Saraland High School
• Satsuma High School
• Evangel Classical Christian School (Alabaster, AL)
• Providence Christian School (Dothan, AL)
Any student who is currently enrolled in an eligible high school as a sophomore, junior or senior may apply.
When can I take courses?
During the fall and spring semesters. You’ll take classes at your high school with your teachers.
How do I apply?
To apply, talk to your school’s guidance counselor or contact your University of Mobile enrollment counselor.
