Frequently Asked Questions

Who can participate?

All University of Mobile students are welcome.

Do I have to be called to long-term missionary service?

No. While we earnestly pray the Lord would call and send more laborers to unreached peoples and places (Luke 10:2), our goal is to help each student understand God’s mission and discern their role in support of the missionary task.

Are there mission trip opportunities?

Yes. We lead and facilitate regional, North American, and international mission experiences throughout the year in partnership with Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions and other Southern Baptist entities as part of one sacred effort.

Is there a scholarship available?

Yes, the Tom Elliff Missions Scholarship provides up to 100 students $500 per semester to assist with the cost of an approved mission experience during their degree program. The scholarship can be received multiple semesters so long as the specific requirements are met.

What are the scholarship requirements?

  • Be a current student
  • Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
