Scholarships and Grants
Once you complete the admissions process you are automatically considered for an academic scholarship award. In addition to academic merit awards, UM also offers a variety of talent based scholarships. Our enrollment counselors can help guide you in applying for a variety of grants, loans and work study programs that can help lower your out of pocket college payment.
Tuition & Fees
We want to ensure you’re aware of the costs associated with a UM education from the beginning. The sheet provided aims to give a clear picture of your total cost of attendance (COA), which includes tuition, housing and meals (whether on-campus, off-campus, or at home), books and supplies, transportation, and any additional expenses you might incur.
Financial Aid
The Financial Aid Office administers federal, state, and institutional aid to help students meet their college expenses. Financial assistance in the form of Federal Grants, Federal Loans, Work Study, State Grants, and Scholarships is available to all students who complete the necessary federal aid application process and qualify for assistance.
Focus Fridays
We are intentional about creating academic and student life experiences that build community in a way no other college does, through Focus Fridays. Our unique approach to learning means you go to classes Mondays through Thursdays, immersing yourself in academic programs that stretch your mind. On Fridays, you focus on enriching academic opportunities and amazing student life experiences.
Ram Rush
Ram Rush is the official University of Mobile New Student Orientation, beginning at move-in and continuing through the first week of classes. Enjoy concerts, free food, give-aways, games, new friends, orientation information, and tons of fun!
Ram Rush is one of your best ways to get connected to fellow students and immerse yourself in Student Life.

As a Christ-centered, academically-focused university, we prepare students to fulfill the Great Commission through a Biblical worldview. We encourage students to get involved in local churches through events that provide opportunities for community and impactful service. Additionally, we host monthly worship gatherings and offer on-campus discipleship to help connect your heart, soul, and mind to Christ.
