HOMECOMING WEEKEND
October 1 - 2, 2021

Come to campus for a fun-filled weekend highlighting the new campus areas with activities for the whole family.

Tickets are still available and may be purchased at the event.

WEEKEND SCHEDULE

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 1

11 am - First 15 Lunch
Dorsett Auditorium, Weaver Hall
Mobile College graduating classes of 1967-1982 are invited to a special First 15 Luncheon to celebrate the first 15 graduating classes! Reminisce with your friends about those early days of the University of Mobile and see how your alma mater has grown as we celebrate our 60th anniversary and Homecoming Weekend. The cost is $10/person.

11 am - Women's Tennis vs. Central Alabama
UM Tennis Courts
Free for all faculty, staff, students and alumni.

2 pm - Men's Tennis vs. Spring Hill
UM Tennis Courts
Free for all faculty, staff, students and alumni.

5 pm - Faculty, Staff, Student and Parent Dinner
Lackey Great Commission Lawn
Current UM faculty, staff, and students only – enjoy food trucks, hot air balloon rides and yard games on the front lawn.
Students are free; faculty, staff and parent dinner tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased at the event.

6 pm - Alumni Dinner
Lackey Great Commission Lawn
Alumni are invited to join us at 6 pm to purchase food ($10) from a variety of food trucks and participate in hot air balloon rides and yard games on the front lawn.

7 pm - Big Daddy Weave Concert
Lackey Great Commission Lawn
All are invited to attend this outdoor concert! Bring your own lawn chairs and/or blankets. Faculty, staff and current students are free. Alumni and parent tickets are $5 each. General admission is $5 each.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2

8 – 11 am - Coffee Around Town
Alumni – feel free to meet up with old friends and catch up over a cup of coffee. Discounts will be available from Moka’s Coffee, Carpe Diem, Nova, and Serda’s Coffee – just let them know you are a graduate of the University of Mobile.

8 am - Disc Golf Tournament
UM Disc Golf Course
Faculty, staff, students and alumni are all invited to participate in this homecoming disc golf tournament. Meet at Bedsole Commons at 8 am sharp to get started. Participation is free. Prizes will be awarded.

8 am - 5 pm - Art Exhibit: ‘Uncharted Blue’
Marilyn Foley Art Gallery
Stop by this beautiful exhibit presented by alumna Caroline Ennis ’16 any time between 8 am – 5 pm. The Marilyn Foley Art Gallery is located in Ben May Hall on the UM Campus.

Caroline Ennis is a visual artist whose work stems from her life-long relationship to the Gulf Coast and the Florida Panhandle. She uses installation and sculptural methods that include ceramic, fiber, drawing and unfired clay to explore ways to reflect the coastline’s familiarity and the obscurity of the deep water.

8 am - 5 pm - History Exhibit in Weaver Lobby

Stroll through 60 years of history of Mobile College/University of Mobile in this beautiful exhibit located in Weaver Hall Lobby. View the events timeline, photographs and historical items on display from all six decades.

12 pm - Soccer Tailgate Lunch
The Jungle Soccer Field
Lunch tickets are $10/person

1 pm - Homecoming Court

1:30 pm - Women's Soccer vs. Faulkner University
The Jungle Soccer Field
Free for all faculty, staff, students and alumni.

4 pm - Men's Soccer vs. Faulkner University
The Jungle Soccer Field
Free for all faculty, staff, students and alumni.

8 pm - Homecoming Dance (Current Students Only)
