University of Mobile Ranked One of the Top Schools in the Nation for Online Master’s in Religious Studies

MOBILE, Ala. – The Center for Christian Calling at the University of Mobile was ranked among the top in the nation for best online master’s in religious studies.

OnlineMastersDegrees.org ranked the University of Mobile in the top 20 based on the number of online master’s programs, number of online students, online tuition and fees, percentage of students offered institutional aid, and the amount of institutional aid awarded per student.

The Master of Arts in Biblical & Theological Studies offers students an online and in-person program compatible with career and family responsibilities. Career opportunities with the program include teaching pastors, missionaries, hospital chaplains, and more.

The Center for Christian Calling offers a variety of areas of study for students to gain knowledge, experience, and grow in community together both online and in person.

Spring Spectacular: Throwback Edition Moved to Saturday, March 19

MOBILE, Ala. – The University of Mobile Alabama School of the Arts 2022 “Spring Spectacular: Throwback Edition” has moved to Saturday, March 19 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are now on sale at umobile.edu/pas and will be available to purchase at the event.

The family-friendly concert will be on the Great Commission Lawn at the University of Mobile, 5735 College Pkwy, Mobile, AL 36613. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.

Dinner and concessions start at 5:30 p.m., followed by the preshow at 6:30 p.m. The show begins at 7 p.m. and will close with a 7-minute fireworks show. The show had originally been scheduled for Friday, March 18, but has been rescheduled to Saturday, March 19, due to inclement weather.

Jenna Goodwin, executive director of administration and production for the Alabama School of the Arts, describes the event as “an evening filled with music from decades past that hopes to invite everyone to reminisce about the music that has filled their days from childhood to today.”

Exciting throwbacks include arrangements from bands like Earth, Wind and Fire, as well as guitar features recalling iconic ’80s rock solos.

Attendees will also be taken back to their home church as ASOTA ensembles including the University Singers, Jazz Band, Voices of Mobile, Deliverance, Sofree and more perform faith-based tunes that celebrate the music that shaped our lives.

UM’s Master of Science in Leadership and Communication Ranked #2 in Nation

MOBILE, Ala. – University of Mobile’s Master of Science in Leadership and Communication (MSLC) is ranked #2 in the nation out of the top 50 most affordable master’s in organizational behavior degree programs by HumanResourcesMBA.net.

The online MSLC program is praised for being an inexpensive and quality education that offers courses such as Organizational Behavior, Organizational Communication and Leadership, and Public Relations.

University of Mobile Awarded #3 Best Online Nursing Master’s Program in the Nation

MOBILE, Ala. – NursePractitionerOnline.com named University of Mobile’s Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner program #3 in the nation for 2021.

In the rankings, NursePractitionerOnline.com highlighted the University of Mobile’s MSN-FNP as Christ-centered curriculum with face-to-face intensives and simulations and technology used to advance clinical expertise.
