Work Schedule: 7:30 am – 5:30 pm M-Th, flexible hours for events in the evenings and on weekends.
Job Description:
Position Qualifications (Educational credentials, skills and abilities):
- Christian who is an active member of a local church
- Supports Statement of Christian Affirmation (https://umobile.edu/about/mission/)
- Works well in a fast-paced environment
- Possesses technical photography and videography skills
- Shows high-level of responsibility and personal integrity
- Creative and has the ability to tell stories with images and videos
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who works well independently and in a team environment
- Has a good understanding of Canon cameras, Blackmagic cameras, computer equipment, as well as Adobe Creative Cloud software
Position Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates the Imago Dei of Christ (Gen 1:26) in all aspects of one’s professional role, personal interactions and community relations
- Works with the Marketing team to create concepts and storyboards for promotional videos
- Responsible for campus photography including events, faculty and staff headshots, promotional shots, storytelling, and general marketing photos
- Responsible for shooting and editing promotional videos including alumni, faculty, staff and student profiles
- Works to develop a creative strategy and new ways to use photography and video to promote the mission of the university
- Participate as a collaborative member of the Marketing creative team
- Manage and direct product and lifestyle photography for The University of Mobile spirit shop, The U.
- Works with the content team to provide images and videos for social media content
