The Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program at the University of Mobile is a five-semester program that prepares you to enter the workforce quickly. It can be a first step for students who want to begin their career in health care, then continue their education toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree while working in the field.

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

The Associate Degree Nursing Program offers students the ability to start a rewarding career as a Registered Nurse through a comprehensive, two-year educational pathway.  The associate degree nursing program prepares students to enter the workforce as competent, direct caregivers in a variety of healthcare settings which include diverse patient populations. Students are admitted to the program annually, starting in the Fall semester. Students considered for admission include those entering college directly out of high school as well as those who have previous college experience. Courses are delivered primarily in person at the beautiful University of Mobile campus and in the various healthcare settings in the greater Mobile area. The curriculum is delivered by experienced full time and adjunct faculty members who are passionate about providing students with a positive yet challenging learning environment.

In addition to clinical experiences in multiple healthcare settings, students gain hands-on experience in our state-of -the-art Center for Excellence in Healthcare Practice. The Center features skills labs with high fidelity patient simulators. Students participate in multiple learning experiences in the Center which mirror scenarios experienced in the clinical setting.
