Assistant/Associate Professor of Kinesiology

The University of Mobile and School of Health and Sports Science invites applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor of Kinesiology.  The faculty member will teach courses in the Kinesiology department that are specific to the study of movement, emergency preparedness, and/or exercise science.  This position will be a full-time, 9-month appointment with expectations of expert teaching, experience with learning management systems for online delivery, coordination of student internships, and the ability to work collaboratively with the faculty in the different kinesiology programs. Responsibilities aside from teaching could include academic advising, program coordination, curriculum assessment and review, and participation in recruiting events.  The position will start in Fall 2024. The university academic curriculum is based on a four-day week. Some programmatic activities require some evening and Friday coverage.

Required Qualifications

  • Preferred: Earned Doctorate (PhD, EdD) in kinesiology or related field
  • Required: Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in kinesiology or a related field
  • Rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience
