The University of Mobile School of Education invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Education. The assistant professor will teach courses in the School of Education that are specific to the preparation of special education teachers in P-12 education settings. This position will be a full-time, 9-month appointment with expectations of expert teaching, experience with learning management systems for online delivery, coordination of student field experiences, internships, and the ability to work collaboratively with the faculty in the various programs offered in the School of Education. Responsibilities aside from teaching include academic advising, program coordination, curriculum assessment and review, service on UM committees, and participation in recruiting events. The position will start in Fall 2024. The university academic curriculum is based on a four-day week. Some programmatic activities require evening and Friday coverage.

Required Qualifications
- Preferred: Earned Doctorate (PhD, EdD) in special education or related field
- Required: Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in special education or a related field
- Required: Candidate must have 30 graduate-level hours of coursework in special education.
- Rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience
