Instructor/Assistant Professor of Kinesiology

The University of Mobile invites applications for a fulltime/tenure track position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Kinesiology. The Department of Kinesiology is located within the University of Mobile’s School of Health and Sports Science. The successful candidate will be energetic, dynamic, and possess strong interpersonal skills. Required qualifications include a postgraduate degree in a related field, earned doctorate preferred. Additional qualifications include (but are not required) higher education experience, clinical experience within the field of exercise physiology and or biomechanics.

The faculty member will teach pertinent courses in the department, prepare course materials and assignments, advise students, engage in curriculum review and development, coordinate internships, assist with online delivery and work in conjunction with other faculty members within the department to assist in promoting student learning within the School of Health and Sports Science.

Dean, School of Business

Marketing Communication Specialist

University of Mobile’s Office of Marketing and Public Relations invites applications for a full time Marketing Communication Specialist.

The successful candidate will be a member of the Marketing and Pubilc Relations team that advances the mission of the university through marketing, public relations, media relations, event planning, community relations and various related efforts.

Primary responsibilities:
– Manages institutional social media accounts
– Executes new social media campaigns, measures their effectiveness and explores additional platforms
– Serves as a marketing consultant to other UM departments as needed to evaluate current strategies, suggest new ones and collaborate with other staff to provide content and material
– Writes for a wide variety of marketing materials, such as content for website, articles for magazine, articles for online blog site, news releases and promotional materials
– Assists with press conferences and media relations efforts as needed
– Assists with strategies for on campus events as needed

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English or related field is required. Should be able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, and show high level of responsibility and personal integrity.
